How much do hotels cost?

We’ve also checked the situation with hotels.

The majority of the Croatian citizens were hoping that the hotel prices will drastically drop due to the economic crisis and that staying at a hotel could be affordable for those who couldn’t afford it so far. However, while checking the hotel prices across the Adriatic coast, we realized that hotels mostly kept the price. Only some hotels on some dates are offering certain discounts which are, when the standard in Croatia is taken into account, not big enough for Croats to swarm the Adriatic coasts hotels.

We’ve compared the prices of hotels of different classifications in three destinations on the Adriatic coast in mid-June this year. The prices are for seven nights with breakfast for a family of four.

How much does a seven-day stay with breakfast for a family of four in hotels with 3,4, and 5 stars cost?

In a 5-star hotel in Rovinj, a seven-day stay costs around €6,341; in a 4-star hotel the price is around €2,285; in a 3-star hotel, the price for seven nights with breakfast is around €1,109.

Regarding the hotel accommodation in Zadar, a family of four will have to pay approximately €5,872 for a 5-star hotel. A 4-star hotel is quite cheaper, so seven nights cost around €2,113, while a week in a 3-star hotel cost about €1,255.

In the town of Hvar, there is only one 5 star hotel with rooms for a maximum of two people, and the price for seven nights in their cheapest room is around €2,642. Seven nights in a 4-star hotel in the town of Hvar for a family of four costs €3,699, while the price for a 3-star hotel is around €1,600.

We’ve checked all the web pages that sell discount coupons, and we’ve found only a couple of hotels that offer more significant discounts. Still, the number is negligible concerning the total number of hotels across the Croatian coast.
