THE BEAUTY of our Croatia attracts many tourists and is often praised by foreign media. This time the Vogue magazine selected a few beaches in Croatia that they consider to be the most beautiful. Here’s how they described them.

1. Zlatni rat beach

Also known as the Golden Horn, this stretch of sand west of Bol on Brac is one of the most popular summer destinations in Croatia not only because of its turquoise water, but also because of its rich offer of water sports, from sailing to kayaking.

2. Punta Rata beach in Brela

Punta Rata beach within the Makarska Riviera is proof that Mediterranean paradise still exists. There are rocks and pines in the background, so it is easy to find a quiet place where you can rent a sun lounger.

3. Betina Cave beach

Close to Dubrovnik, this beach is located next to a stone cave, and can only be accessed by sea. You will need to use a water taxi or a kayak to get to this beach.

4. Stiniva beach

Stiniva beach on the island of Vis is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It’s not easily reached, but it is worth the effort.

5. Nugal beach

Another fairytale place on the Makarska Riviera, Nugal beach, is located among the rocks which touch the beautiful Adriatic Sea. It is located on the sunny side of Mount Biokovo, and it is a favorite among nudists.

6. Dubovica beach

Dubovica beach on the island of Hvar has everything you need for summer: it is sheltered from the wind, and its water is clear and calm, ideal for exploring marine life.

7. Banje beach

Thanks to the panoramic view of the Walls of Dubrovnik and its pebbles, Banje is one of the most popular beach destinations in Dalmatia. Since half of the beach is privately owned, it is possible to book sun loungers in order to avoid summer crowds.
