70 percent of the last year’s result

“After an excellent July, when we achieved around 60 percent of last year’s result, we have even better tourist trends in August, and we are currently at 70 percent of last year’s result. The markets with the best results are territorially closer ones for which the Croatian destinations are easily accessible via road routes, such as, for example, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

We have aimed our promotional and informative campaigns towards these markets by communicating that Croatia is a safe and well-prepared tourist destination. Also, with the increase in the number of airlines, tourism has intensified in the southern parts of Dalmatia,” said the Croatian National Tourist Board Director Kristjan Stanicic, adding that, for example, Dubrovnik and London are currently connected with 44 flights per week.

“It’s extremely important that we continue to behave responsibly and adhere to the prescribed epidemiological measures because it’s the prerequisite for achieving the touristic traffic in the country,” director Stanicic concluded.
