MATS HUMMELS, the legend of German football, world champion with Elf in 2014, and the winner of all possible trophies with Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, is one of the many famous athletes who love Croatia.
Like Manuel Neuer, his teammate from the club and the national team, Hummels is enjoying his vacation at his favorite summer destination. However, Neuer does not own a property on the Croatian coast, whereas Hummels has been vacationing in the mansion he built in Posedarje by the sea for years.
This year is no different, and the famous defender has been sharing photos from Dalmatia on social media every day. After showcasing his basketball skills in Gornji Policnik, a village in the Zadar hinterland, he has now posted photos of him treating his friends to a 15-liter bottle of champagne on a boat.
Bild writes that this huge bottle of champagne costs almost two thousand euros. Hummels recently called it the worst purchase of his life when he appeared as a guest on the podcast run by German comedians Tommy Schmitt and Felix Lobrecht. "That bottle was supposed to be the perfect end to a joke in the Bayern locker room. However, when it was finally delivered, the joke hadn't been relevant for a long time. It is now just proof of that madness."
Hummels recently asked over three million followers on Instagram if they wanted to see the bottle. After 88 percent of his followers voted that they wanted to see it, Hummels took a photo with the bottle during his vacation in Croatia.
