HAJDUK launched a lovely campaign called "Always in our heart" before its match against Inter (2:1) last Friday, in the 27th round of the HNL.

Fans were able to buy a seat at the eastern stands of Poljud for €13, and a heart-shaped sticker with their name on it was put on their seat so they could "cheer" for their favorite club despite the empty stands on Poljud.

Almost the entire eastern stands were filled with red and blue hearts that the fans bought. Hajduk also posted a high-resolution photo of the stands on their Facebook page, so that everyone would be able to find their name.

Among thousands of names and nicknames, there was a seat with the name of George Floyd, to whom an unknown Hajduk fan wanted to pay tribute. A screenshot of the part of the photo with Floyd's name appeared on social media and garnered positive attention.

As we have previously written, the 46-year-old George Floyd died at a hospital on May 25 after a brutal intervention by a Minneapolis police officer, who strangled him for nearly nine minutes by kneeling on his neck.

Officer Derek Chauvin and his three colleagues who were involved in the arrest of George for his alleged use of counterfeit money to buy cigarettes have been suspended.
