ALTHOUGH it was clear after yesterday's results that Plenkovic will have enough seats in the parliament, it is now confirmed.

HDZ won 66 seats, and with the support of the ethnic minorities, which won 8 seats, as well as HNS, and the Reformists, which got one each, he has a total of 76 seats in the parliament.

The government spokesman Marko Milic tweeted that Plenkovic has already held the initial consultations with all elected representatives of ethnic minorities, HNS, and the Reformists. "They give clear support to the new parliamentary majority and the government," Milic wrote.

Plenkovic now has to collect 76 signatures to get a mandate as a Prime Minister from the Croatian president Zoran Milanovic which, according to these agreements, will not represent a problem.

Radimir Cacic has already confirmed his support of Plenkovic's government.

"With his 66 seats and the support of HNS, minorities and our support, Plenkovic can already form the government with 76 seats," said Cacic. He also added that no radicals and people "with political messages and viewpoints below the European civilization level" aren't in the position to blackmail him.
