The Split Airport is expecting 3,000 passengers next weekend
AFTER the coronavirus epidemic, traffic in the Split Airport is increasing daily. The first significant increase in traffic is expected next weekend, with 3,000 passengers.
"Next weekend, on June 20 and June 21, according to previous announcements, about 30 planes are expected to transfer around 3,000 passengers in both directions, which will be the first significant increase in traffic at the Split Airport after the epidemic," Mate Melvan, head of the Reception and Dispatch Service at the Split Airport stated for Hina on Sunday.
He added that they are also expecting about 3,000 passengers on the last weekend of June.
Melvan stated that 60 airlines were supposed to use the Split Airport this year, but their flights were paused because of the coronavirus epidemic. He added that nine airlines resumed their flights in June. "We expect that even more airlines will resume their flights as soon as at the beginning of July," he added.
According to Melvan, the most passenger traffic at the Split Airport this year is expected in the second half of July and in early August.
