Ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski rekao je danas da će nove sankcije koje je nametnula Europska unija Moskvi "uistinu smanjiti" ruske gospodarske temelje za rat protiv njegove zemlje.
EU je danas usvojila 12. paket sankcija protiv Rusije koji prije svega uključuje zabranu uvoza ruskih dijamanata u Uniju.
Zemlje EU taj su paket potvrdile u petak, na marginama europskog summita, ali nije mogao biti usvojen zbog rezervi Austrije koje su u međuvremenu otklonjene.
Radi se o 12. paketu od početka ruske invazije na Ukrajinu 24. veljače 2022., a predsjednica EK Ursula von der Leyen rekla je da Unija nastavlja podupirati Ukrajinu.
"Sve ovo će zaista pomoći smanjiti gospodarske ratne temelje", rekao je Zelenski u svome noćnom videoobraćanju.
"Nastavit ćemo raditi s našim partnerima da osiguramo da sankcije koje je nametnula Europa funkcioniraju globalno", dodao je.
